How to list your trade on Monti

Who can create a profile

Anyone who offers a trade or a service to private customers in Malta or Gozo — sole traders and companies alike. You do not need a business account on Monti first, and one account can hold one tradesperson profile.

What the form asks for

1. Your trade — one main trade plus up to three more. Pick what you actually do; customers filter on it.
2. Where you work — your base locality and every area you take jobs in. The list is split into Malta and Gozo, each with a "select all" box, so a Gozo-wide business is two clicks.
3. How customers reach you — e-mail, and a phone number if you want calls. The number is hidden on the profile until a customer presses "Show phone number". Add a WhatsApp number if you prefer messages.
4. Company number and VAT — optional. A C-number as registered with the Malta Business Registry earns the Verified badge once we have confirmed it. VAT numbers are checked for format only.
5. Description, prices, licences — say what you do, roughly what it costs, and which licences you hold. Short and concrete beats long and vague.
6. Logo and photos — optional, but profiles with photos of real work get more requests. Every image is checked automatically before it is shown.

Live straight away

When you save, the profile is published and searchable at once. An automatic content check reads it first; if something looks off (spam, abusive language, services we do not list), the profile waits for a manual review instead, and we tell you why on your dashboard.

Not pre-listed yet

We do not yet pre-list Maltese businesses from a register, so there is no profile waiting for you to take over — creating one takes a few minutes.

How profiles are ranked

Featured (clearly marked, a paid option later) → Verified → customer reviews → newest. Reviews are being built and will only accept ratings from customers who contacted you through Monti.
